OpenAI announced on Wednesday that users of ChatGPT, supported by Microsoft (MSFT.O), will now have the capability to browse the web, marking a significant expansion of the data accessible to the viral chatbot beyond its previous September 2021 cutoff. The artificial intelligence startup explained that this new browsing feature would allow websites to manage ChatGPT’s interactions with them. OpenAI stated in a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that browsing is currently available to Plus and Enterprise users, with plans to extend access to all users soon. To activate the feature, users can select “Browse with Bing” from the dropdown menu under GPT-4.
OpenAI has announced that users of ChatGPT can now explore the internet.
