Italian Police Seize 100 New Electric Cars Due to Sticker Violations: Report

Italian Police Seize 134 Fiats for Displaying Italian Flag Stickers Despite Moroccan Manufacture

Police in Italy have seized 134 brand-new Fiats due to stickers featuring the colors of the Italian flag on their doors, even though the vehicles were built in Morocco. According to Reuters, authorities took action over concerns that the stickers could misleadingly imply the cars were manufactured by Fiat in Italy. This incident marks the latest conflict between Italian authorities and Stellantis, the parent company of 14 car brands including Fiat and Alfa Romeo, regarding a 2003 law aimed at preventing products from misleading consumers about their origin.
