ASX dips as tech stocks fall after Nasdaq experiences its worst day since 2022.

The Australian share market dipped slightly on Thursday as shares in local technology companies followed the significant losses of some US peers on Wall Street overnight. Interest-rate sensitive stocks also weakened slightly after recent economic data indicated the jobs market remains relatively strong.

The S&P/ASX 200 Index dropped 21.4 points, or 0.3 percent, to 8036.5, with seven of the 11 industry sectors declining. The Australian dollar was trading at US67.4¢.
