The Waratahs’ season of disappointment is about to take a positive turn, with Dan McKellar set to welcome Test stars Taniela Tupou and Rob Leota to the franchise.
After watching several key players leave and envying their domestic rivals who signed multiple players over the past six months, the arrival of the Wallaby duo from the Rebels will inject much-needed life into the Waratahs’ program. With a shortage of players up front and Rugby Australia’s headquarters located just across Anzac Parade from the Waratahs’ base in Daceyville, Tupou has long been rumored to move to Sydney.
After months of negotiations, The Roar can reveal that Tupou is set to be unveiled in the coming days.
