McDonald’s introduces two new variations of its iconic Quarter Pounder burger.

When it comes to crowning the most “iconic” burger on the McDonald’s menu, opinions are divided into two camps.

Some people swear by the Big Mac – a choice that is, admittedly, somewhat predictable and perhaps lacking in creativity. Then there are those who prefer the Quarter Pounder and would tell the fast-food giant to keep its “special” sauce for another day.

(True believers know the true greatest of all time is the cheeseburger, but that’s another debate.)

For the dedicated fans of the Quarter Pounder, McDonald’s has exciting news: starting this week, it will be offering not one but two new versions of the burger, one of which is debuting in Australia for the first time ever.

Available nationwide from Wednesday, August 7, for a limited time, the new Quarter Pounder BBQ Bacon and Crispy Onions and the returning Quarter Pounder Deluxe will be featured on Macca’s winter menu.
