In preparation for Memorial Day, more than a thousand service members from the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (“The Old Guard”), along with ceremonial units from the U.S. Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard, took part in the annual Flags-In ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday, May 22, 2025. As part of the solemn tradition, American flags were placed at each headstone to honor and remember those who have been laid to rest on the hallowed grounds.
